The back story to this venture is important.

There were a few stories my Nan would mention on the fly that intrigued me. But as soon as I queried further, she’d shrug and respond with, “Oh, that’s a story for another day.” I knew she had a lot more to share and possibly struggled to connect with me as she assumed I didn’t have the time with my “busy” schedule.

So I decided to approach it a different way. I gave her the Memoir book as a gift on our wedding day so she could fill it out whilst we were on our honeymoon. When we returned, she gave me the book, grinning from ear to ear. I could tell she felt valued and cherished. The Memoir was also a conversation starter for us and we continue to discuss some of the stories she recorded, today.

It has been a privilege to work on this venture together. Her constant support over the many years of raising me, alongside my Pop, will always be cherished.

I hope this book will strengthen your relationship with your loved one as it has done for me, and continue to be shared with future generations.
